This

METHOD OF STUDY:
1. Student is required to read the
text,
"Character Development" by Dr. T.E. VanBuskirk looking up and reading
all scriptures in your Bible that are referenced in the textbook,
whether or not those references are quoted in the lessons; and,
submit the Character Development Form for each lesson.
2. Student may not complete more than one
Lesson every 2 weeks.
The minimum attendance requirement, which you will
input on your Begin Sign In Form, is 2 weeks per lesson.
3. You must submit the CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT REPORT FORM for each lesson before beginning the next lesson. Next lesson attendance begins on the DAY AFTER submitting that form.
4. There will be a final test at the end of the
course. Final Test will be open book.
ATTENDANCE:
Minimum attendance for the entire course is 30 weeks.
Minimum attendance for each lesson in the course is 2 weeks.
Course is worth 3.5 credits.

read and submit the Testing
Instructions form if you have not
already done so.
- Name entry on tests: Students are required to use proper letter-case when inputting their names on all submissions to the college. Example: If your name is John Smith, then input John Smith, not john smith or JOHN SMITH. If you do not use proper letter-case when

1. Be sure you click the name of this course on the form:
Christian
Character Three - Personal Character Development (A)
2. There are 3 sections listed under Christian Character
Three - Personal Character Development,
with suffixes (A) (B)
and (C); this current course is the one with the suffix (B)
3. You must complete them in sequence. Each one is a
pre-requisite for the following lessons in the series.
a. Start with (A) and DO NOT
take (B) until you have successfully completed (A).
b. DO NOT take (C) until you have
successfully completed (B).
c. If you take them out of sequence you
will not receive credit for the ones taken out of sequence.
d. You MAY NOT study more than one of the
series at the same time.
If you do, you will not
receive credit for any of them.
You would then have to
submit a new Begin Sign In form and start over with the first course
in the series.
Print out a Course Record Form on which to keep all pertinent information for this current course. Access to the form is on the Begin Sign In page. You will then close those pages and return to this
page to start this class.
All
students are required to download and use a
Transcript and Grades Form
on which to record grades for all courses. An updated copy of this
form is required to be submitted to SLBC every 6 months; and it is
suggested that an updated copy be sent to the college upon completion of
any course. Do not use a new copy of the form each time, update
the one form with new information pertinent to each course and submit
that updated copy to the college.
How to complete this class.
1.
Read the textbook and look up all scripture references
in your Bible.
a. If the scripture reference is quoted in the
textbook, you must still look up that scripture in
your Bible.
b. Reading it in the lesson does not
excuse you from looking up the reference in your
Bible.
2.
As you finish each
Lesson in the textbook, keep track of your
Responses concerning that lesson's Character Trait for
the next two weeks. There is a chart included,
with instructions, as the last page of each lesson.
a. Download and print that page/chart
and use it to keep track of your progress for two
weeks.
At the end of the two week required attendance
for each lesson you will then scan that page/chart and
attach it to an email and submit it to the
college. This is required "homework"
for each lesson.
b. Click the name to submit your CHARACTER
DEVELOPMENT REPORT FORM
RETURN
TO THIS CURRENT PAGE AFTER EACH LESSON TO SUBMIT YOUR CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
REPORT FORM
WARNING:
If you do not submit the CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT REPORT
forms at the end of each lesson, then you will not
receive credit for this course! If you fail
to submit those forms, then, in order to receive
credit for the course, you will have to submit a new
Begin Sign In form and start the course over from the
beginning.
3. After finishing all required reading and
submitting the homework/chart for every lesson
via the CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT REPORT FORM, you
can then take the Final Test.
Required textbook
is online for your use.
Character
Development (B) - lessons 16 through 30 -by Dr. T.E. VanBuskirk
If
you want to use the textbook for a Men's Group Bible
Study, you
may do so. That is the purpose for which it was
originally written.
Final Test link is at the bottom of this page.
NOTE: If you miss any questions on
the Final Test then you
must restudy the textbook and the
KJV Bible (whichever is appropriate) and find the correct
answers to all questions missed before retaking the test. You
cannot retake the Final Test (or any test) on the
same day that you failed it. There is a
required 1 day wait before retaking any test.
FINAL TEST
- Once you have completed all sections of the
textbook and submitted all required CHARACTER
DEVELOPMENT REPORT forms, then you may take the Final Test for the
course.
- Once
you pass
the final test do not take it again.
- If you
fail the
Final Test then you need to
restudy the textbook and make
sure you have found all of the correct answers from the textbook and then retake
the Final Test. Repeat this process until you pass the Final Test.
- If you
miss any questions on the Final Test,
even though you received a passing score, then you need to review the textbook
and
find the correct answers to the questions you missed.
To
take the Final Test:
If you have not already done so, please submit a Finish Sign In Form before proceeding to
take the Final Test.
When
you click the TEST link it will download
to your computer. When download is completed, click
"Open" or "Open when done". A window may pop
up
stating that "Windows protected your PC". Click
"More info" and then click "Run anyway" in
the white rectangular box at the
bottom of that window.
- RESULTS PAGE -
Be
sure to submit a copy of the Results page
in order to have your score registered
to your file.
The test you will take as a Final Test for this course will be a duplicate of the Final Test for the Beatitudes course. The test will have a 1 hour time limit.
This
Final Test is "closed book." Therefore, to receive the
password
you must submit a "Closed
Book Test Contract" form.
On that
form you must request the Password for the Final Test
for Christian Character I. (Beatitudes). That
password will work for this test.
FINAL
TEST
Final Test is "closed
book."
It
must be done completely from memory with no help of any kind.
NOTE FOR FAILED TEST:
If you
fail
the test, then restudy the section, find
the correct answers to all of the questions
you missed, and then take the test
again on or after tomorrow.
You may NOT retake a failed test on the
same day that you failed it in any
of our courses. There is always
a one day wait required for
restudy of the material
before retaking
the test.
