Bible Doctrines
The purpose of this class is to give the student an
understanding
of the ten basic major doctrines of the Bible.
DOCTRINES COVERED:
In
the workbook we
will not cover the doctrines in the same order as in the textbook. We
will cover the doctrine of The Scriptures (Bibliology) first, so start
with the textbook section entitled "The Doctrine of the Scriptures."
After that we will follow the order of the textbook beginning with
"The Doctrine of God."
Index of the
Workbook
I. THE
DOCTRINE OF THE SCRIPTURES (BIBLIOLOGY)
II. THE DOCTRINE OF GOD (THEOLOGY)
III. THE DOCTRINE OF JESUS CHRIST (CHRISTOLOGY)
IV. THE DOCTRINE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT (PNEUMATOLOGY)
V. THE DOCTRINE OF MAN (ANTHROPOLOGY)
VI. THE DOCTRINES OF SALVATION (SOTERIOLOGY)
VII. THE DOCTRINE OF THE CHURCH (ECCLESIOLOGY)
VIII. THE DOCTRINE OF ANGELS (ANGELOLOGY)
IX. THE DOCTRINE OF SATAN
X. THE DOCTRINES OF THE LAST THINGS
(ESCHATOLOGY)
METHOD OF STUDY:
1. Student is required to read the
text,
"The Great Doctrines of the Bible" by Dr. William Evans and
the companion workbook by Dr. T.E. VanBuskirk, looking up and reading
all scriptures in your Bible that are referenced in the workbook and
the textbook, and complete
the tests as you complete each of the ten sections in those books.
2. Student may not complete more than one section per week.
Even one section every two weeks is reasonable,
given the depth of the material.
3. If any questions are missed on a test, even if the test has a passing score, then the student must restudy that section of the text and find all of the correct answers to the questions missed before beginning the next lesson.
4. There will be a final test at the end of the course. All tests will be open book.
Blanks in workbook
The workbook was originally written for an on-campus course and
was adapted for use online. There are blanks
throughout the workbook that cannot be filled in online. They were left there only to help
ensure that the students look up every scripture reference in their
King James Bible.
Videos: Watch the appropriate videos as you work through
the Workbook and read the Textbook.
TESTING:
Make sure you
read and submit the Testing
Instructions form if you have not
already done so.
- Name entry on tests:
Instructions are in the Testing
Instructions form. If those instructions are not followed
then the test cannot be credited to your file.
-
You may not take more than
one test in one subject on any one day. That includes retakes of failed tests.
Failed Test: If you fail
a test, you may not attempt
that test again on the same day. You must restudy the
textbook/workbook and find all of the correct answers to the
questions missed and then retake the test no sooner than the
next day.

How to complete this class.
1.
Read the workbook and
the textbook and look up all scripture references
in your Bible.
Watch the videos as you work through the
Workbook and read the Textbook.
2. Pay close attention in the workbook to the portions marked: "Homework" and "NOTE: These will be test questions" because you will need the answers to those questions for various tests.
3.
As you finish each section of the workbook, take the
corresponding section test.
Do not go on to study the next section of the workbook
until you have passed the current section test and found the
correct answers to any questions missed. You must look up the
answers to any questions missed even if you
passed the test.
4.
After finishing all required reading and
passing the Section tests and finding the
correct answers to all questions missed on any test, whether or not
you passed the test, then you will
take the Final Test.
You will need to open and study both the textbook and the workbook at the same time.
