CHRISTIAN COUNSELING

In these courses you will study the basics of Christian Counseling.  Each course is a prerequisite for the next counseling course and all need to be completed, in order, before proceeding to the next counseling course.  The book of Job course is also considered a counseling course along with the following courses and all are core courses that must be completed by all students.  However, the book of Job may be studied at any time and is not a prerequisite course for the counseling courses on this page.

If you have not yet studied the Book of Job course, which is also a counseling course, you may access it by clicking the name of the course.

If you have not yet studied the Spiritual Warfare course, which is also a counseling course, you may access it by clicking the name of the course.

       Textbook                    Workbook

Counseling is an area where most preachers and workers suffer from a woeful lack of proper training. In this course you will be taught some basic, practical, counseling principles.  You will not be a polished counselor when you finish this course but you will have some practical, biblical, approaches to help with many of the typical problems faced by people in general.
In this course you will use the textbook, Practical Counseling Principles For Christians, by Dr. Jeff Owens.  You will also use the companion SLBC workbook, Christian Counseling, by Dr. T.E. VanBuskirk.   (3 credits)

Counseling I. Video Lectures: can be accessed below.
